I have been learning bonsai since 2013, and it's been a constant obsession ever since. I have never had a teacher or belonged to a club, so am mostly self-taught from online interactions with other enthusiasts, and watching Bjorn and Ryan's videos over and over. I have also taken a few of the courses over at Bonsai Empire. I joined Peter Warren's group in the spring of 2020 when the pandemic hit, and joined Bjorn's Bonsai-U in Feb 2021. I currently have around 40-50 trees out on the benches, a mixture of shohin and bigger, deciduous and evergreen, US and Asian species. I hope to improve my bonsai technique and artistry, and perhaps help beginners out.
